Pickleball Kingdom expands with new building in Pflugerville, set to open March 2025

Pickleball Kingdom is bringing new opportunities to Austin’s thriving pickleball scene as it gears up to open its second Pflugerville facility in March 2025. The upcoming addition will include eight full-sized courts, two half-sized courts and a retail space designed to cater to the rapidly growing sport.

The first Pflugerville building, which opened in October 2024, has quickly established itself as a destination for pickleball enthusiasts. It offers everything from beginner classes to clinics tailored to intermediate players. The new building, just steps away from the current one, is set to further enhance the experience for players of all skill levels.

“Pickleball Kingdom has the best indoor courts in Austin. Once we get the larger building open, we’ll be able to have a lot more members, which will open up the opportunity for people to have an even better experience than they do now,” owner Jared Jolly said.

The facility currently offers an impressive range of programs, from beginner-friendly “Pickleball 101” classes to specialized clinics targeting specific skills such as dinking, third-shot drops and serving. Certified coaches lead these sessions, and players can also book private or small-group lessons through the facility’s app or website.

“Our ‘Pickleball 101’ class is a free, one-hour class that we offer to the community to come learn about pickleball,” Jolly said. “We provide the paddles and the balls. All you need to do is show up in tennis shoes. We also have coaches that you can hire through our free app.”

What distinguishes Pickleball Kingdom's coaching approach is its flexibility. Players can opt for single-session lessons or a more structured, long-term coaching experience. For those seeking progressive development, the facility offers a three-month coaching program. This approach starts with foundational techniques and helps participants become skilled, confident pickleball players by the end of the program.

The new building will feature a dedicated 600-700 square-foot retail store, offering paddles, apparel, accessories and even pickleball-specific footwear. A standout service will be the paddle demonstration program, where players can test various paddles for two weeks before committing to a purchase.

“A lot of people buy their paddles online without having a chance to demo them,” Jolly said. “With us, you can pay $25 to use any of our paddles over a two-week period. That $25 will go toward the paddle purchase price, so you're not actually spending any money. That’s going to be a benefit that a lot of people will utilize because it's challenging to find a paddle that fits your game and what you're trying to accomplish.”

In addition to retail offerings, the facility will include prepackaged snacks, drinks and energy products to keep players fueled during matches.

With nearly three decades of entrepreneurial experience, Jolly understands how to create a communal space, and he’s doing just that with Pickleball Kingdom.

“Pickleball fosters community. That’s why it's the fastest growing sport. It allows people to talk and get to know each other on and off the court,” Jolly said. “We just launched our quarterly leagues where players have different partners each night. Putting them together with people they don't know in a league automatically helps them connect.”

Jolly’s vision for the new building is to make it a flagship location, featuring high ceilings, a mezzanine, fenced-in courts and full locker rooms—an ideal setup for both casual play and tournaments.

The grand opening of the new building is slated for mid-to-late March 2025. The event will include free play, food trucks, bounce houses for kids and giveaways, including free memberships and merchandise.
