Pet owners in the Fort Worth-area can find compassionate and convenient pet care with VO Vets’ membership plans.
VO Vets is a full-service veterinary clinic open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with urgent care services available for walk-in patients. Its membership model is designed to make both routine and urgent care more accessible.
The membership package operates as an annual contract that covers all office visits at no additional cost, providing members with comprehensive access to the doctors. It also includes recommended preventative care services, such as vaccines and annual preventative testing, with optional add-ons like spay and neuter procedures, and dental cleanings.
Additionally, plan members receive a 10% discount on services or treatments not included in the package, such as additional treatments or specific diagnostics, ensuring they still benefit from savings.
“It's definitely beneficial to help break up those payments, especially for something like a dental cleaning that can easily be a couple hundred dollars at that visit,” practice manager Emily Ehmann said.
In addition to breaking up payments, the membership includes unlimited office visits. This is especially beneficial for clients, who might otherwise hesitate to bring their pets in, hoping an issue will resolve on its own. With this feature, pet owners gain peace of mind, knowing they can have their pet checked out whenever there’s unusual behavior.
Each plan is tailored to a pet’s life stage, with options for puppies and kittens as well as older dogs and cats.
“We actually had a client the other day who signed up their dog on a senior dental plan, and it came with those full body X-rays,” Ehmann said. “We were able to perform those, and we did find early signs of a disease. The client was able to do those things because they were on that plan, so they were able to catch that early and start treatment earlier.”
VO Vets’ commitment to compassionate care extends to their Fear Free and Cat Friendly certifications. This approach emphasizes reducing stress for both pets and their owners during visits. Techniques include pheromone sprays and positive reinforcement, and anxiety medications or sedation when necessary. Being that both locations are Cat Friendly certified, they also provide separate feline-only areas to minimize feline anxiety.
“Typically, if they have one stressful visit, each time it gets worse and worse and worse, and so we want to avoid that all together,” practice manager Katelyn Scandaliato said.
VO Vets’ staff includes experienced veterinarians with diverse specialties. Dr. Shannon Vicario, for example, treats a variety of exotic patients while Dr. Julianna Braswell combines traditional and alternative medicine, offering chiropractic and acupuncture treatments for pain management and certain other disease processes.
For pet owners seeking comprehensive, affordable and compassionate care, VO Vets stands out. The clinics’ innovative membership model, skilled team and fear-free approach ensure that pets of all shapes and sizes receive the attention they deserve.
