Right at Home Prosper, a trusted provider of in-home care services, is set to launch a new suite of concierge offerings aimed at enhancing the quality of life for older adults.
Beginning Feb. 1, the expanded services will address everyday needs and foster independence, with options ranging from assistance with household tasks to social connection.
Franchisee Dr. Tracey Banks said this new program will help seniors in the community who aren’t at a stage of life where they require in-home care, but still need assistance in other areas. Dr. Banks recently became a certified senior adviser, deepening her understanding of the aging process and the needs of older adults.
“You don’t have to wait until you need help with daily living activities,” Dr. Banks said. “We can be that daughter or son away from home who helps with the little things that make a big difference.”
Caregivers can provide services such as transportation to appointments, assistance with grocery shopping, getting boxes down from the attic and more.
The program will include two tiers: pay-as-you-go services or a membership model. Members will gain access to free home monitoring technology, which includes wearable devices and sensors to track mobility and other biometric data. This system enables family members, especially those living far away, to monitor their loved one’s health trends remotely.
“If we see changes in mobility or sleep patterns, we can proactively suggest safety measures like grab bars or a walker to prevent a serious fall,” Dr. Banks said.
The concierge services also aim to combat social isolation, a common challenge for older adults, especially after the holidays. From taking clients to bingo games or senior centers to simply sharing a meal, the program focuses on enriching lives. Dr. Banks said this program will help seniors stay connected to their community, their hobbies and their families.
“We're here to be your own personal assistant, and you don't have to be rich to have your own personal assistant or concierge,” Dr. Banks said.
For those concerned about allowing strangers into their homes, Dr. Banks said all caregivers are insured, and have passed background checks and drug screenings. In addition, Right at Home Prosper emphasizes personalized care.
“We put trustworthy people in your house,” Dr. Banks said. “It has to be someone that you trust, which is why our job is so much like a matchmaker. We try to really get to know the client's personality so we can then match them with the right caregiver.”
In addition to adding concierge services, Right at Home Prosper will host free, monthly educational seminars. The first talk, scheduled for Jan. 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Gates of Prosper, will provide an overview of aging well. These discussions aim to equip families and individuals with knowledge about proactive steps they can take to maintain independence.
With this innovative approach, Right at Home Prosper continues to set the standard for in-home care, with personalized support to empower seniors and their families.
