Visiting Angels of Northeast San Antonio is a local home care agency that goes above and beyond to provide compassionate care and support to all seniors and adults experiencing challenges with activities of daily living, such as, bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation and medication reminders.
Founded in 2020, the agency has quickly established itself as a leader in the community, offering a wide range of non-medical services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Visiting Angels of Northeast San Antonio serves Live Oak, Converse, Uptown, Randolph Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston and surrounding areas.
One of the key factors that sets Visiting Angels of Northeast San Antonio apart is its commitment to veterans. As a veteran-owned and operated business, the agency has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by veterans and their families. They are dedicated to providing support and assistance to veterans, helping them navigate the complexities of Veteran Affairs benefits and ensuring they receive the care they deserve.
“We deliberately decided to hire experienced veteran caregivers,” owner Letty Inabinet said. “We strongly believe hiring caregivers with the right skills and similar values to the client are very important. Our veteran caregivers connect so well with our veteran clients because they have shared experiences and values. Our veteran caregivers understand what it means to be deployed into war zones. They also have a better understanding of the veteran client’s physical and mental health challenges they may have incurred due to their military service. Our caregivers are compassionate and empathetic to our veteran client’s military services so matching a veteran to a veteran equals success.”
Visiting Angels of Northeast San Antonio is contracted and affiliated with the Veterans Health Administration making it beneficial to veterans approved for home and community services.
“We feel honored and privileged to be affiliated with the VA as it gives us the opportunity to help veterans who sacrificed so much for our country,” Inabinet said.
Additionally, the Visiting Angels team is dedicated to providing support and assistance to veterans by helping them navigate through the Veteran Health Administration process they may find complex. On a voluntary and case-by-case basis, they offer assistance with enrollment in the VA Health system so they can access home and community-based services if otherwise eligible as determined by the Veterans Health Administration.
Beyond their commitment to veterans, Visiting Angels is also passionate about giving back to the community. They frequently volunteer their time to local organizations and participate in charitable events. The agency's staff members are dedicated to providing compassionate care and building strong relationships with their clients. The organization partners with Bexar County Social Services, The San Antonio Coalition for Veterans and Families, The South-Central Texas
Hospice Veteran Partnership and Meals on Wheels to provide assistance to veterans in need.
“What drives us is helping people,” Inabinet said. “That's more important for us than just making money. The most important thing is having the satisfaction that you're making a change in people's lives.”
Visiting Angels of Northeast San Antonio is proud to be part of the San Antonio community and is committed to providing the highest quality care to their clients.
