Magic Makers Studio, located at 207 E. Davis St., McKinney, the studio is best known for its signature Magic of Santa experience and the beloved Santa on the Square program. For 10 years, families from all over McKinney and beyond have stepped into a world where the magic of the season unfolds right before their eyes.
“The inspiration from our work and what we do came from Norman Rockwell and Thomas Kinkade,” Fritchie said. “What we're known for is our 45-minute private sessions, and the kids will do anywhere from 15 to 20 different activities with Santa. This year is our 10-year anniversary, so we're really going above and beyond.”
The experience at the studio is interactive, almost like a play. This year, Fritchie and his team have reimagined their North Pole experience with brand-new sets, an immersive storybook adventure and a whimsical model train themed set that takes children on a journey through Santa’s living room and workshop. It’s an experience that promises to be unlike anything families have seen before, drawing clients from all over the country who come specifically for the Magic of Santa.
“For us, it’s never just been about taking pictures,” Fritchie said. “It’s about creating moments of joy and wonder that families will remember forever.”
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, families who choose one of Magic Makers Studio’s award-winning story books will also receive a special edition children’s book—a smaller, kid-sized version inspired by the classic Little Golden Book style.
“It will be a copy of mom's book that the children can take to their room and to show-and-tell to share with their friends,” Fritchie said. “In this book are pictures of the kids themselves with Santa, and they'll be reading it ...They will have a book where they're the hero of their own story.”
While the Magic of Santa is an immersive experience that families travel from all over to enjoy, Fritchie is passionate about making holiday magic accessible to every child in McKinney through a community initiative known as Santa on the Square.
This program is more than just a quick visit with Santa—it’s a way to ensure that every child, regardless of their family’s situation, has a chance to experience the magic of Christmas. In partnership with local businesses and community sponsors, Magic Makers Studio is working to provide free sessions for children who may not have the opportunity to see Santa otherwise. If you or your business can help contact Chris at Magic Makers Studio immediately.
As part of this initiative, Magic Makers Studio is encouraging families to bring an unwrapped gift when they visit Santa on the Square. In return, the studio will offer a small token of appreciation—a free print or a small gift—so that when families who receive these free sessions come in, Santa can have a present to give directly to the children.
“It’s our way of giving back and creating an experience that feels truly magical for every family,” Fritchie said. “We’d love for more businesses to step up and partner with us to help make this Christmas brighter for the kids in our community.”
