Culture A Day Spa, a locally owned and operated business in Frisco, is expanding its offerings to include its second couple's suite, a Himalayan salt relaxation lounge, an infrared sauna in the women’s locker room, a co-ed traditional steam sauna, and a co-ed igloo room.
Licensed Esthetician Katelin Schebler and her husband Jon founded the spa in 2018 shortly after they moved back to Texas.
“I discovered I loved luxury day spas, specifically those that weren't franchises or chains and have active ownership; I just wasn't finding that here,” Schebler said. “Jon strongly encouraged me. He said with his business background and my industry experience, we could do this together, and we could do it better.”
Culture A Day Spa offers a range of services, including facials, massages, waxing and Hybrid treatments.
Schebler’s passion for skincare led her to create her own line of products, KS Esthetics, which are formulated with high-quality ingredients, and free from parabens, dyes and fragrances.
“I want to make sure I’m really comfortable with what I'm representing, what I'm training my team on and what I'm recommending to our clients,” Schebler said. “I want to make sure I get our clients the results they are looking for, and I want the results to last.”
Schebler said it takes about 11 months to fully formulate one product. She works with a chemist to determine what she wants the product to look, feel, smell and perform like, and after rounds of testing and FDA approval, she uses the product at the spa and is also available for purchase online and at the spa.
The spa is currently undergoing renovations, and once the renovations are complete, Culture A Day Spa will be the second largest spa in Frisco at 4,400 square feet.
The spa's expansion includes the addition of a second couple's suite, an infrared sauna in the women’s locker room, a co-ed traditional steam sauna, and a very unique co-ed igloo room. The couple's suite will feature a spacious design and allow couples to enjoy treatments together, one of their most popular services. The saunas and igloo room will offer a relaxing environment for guests to rid of toxins in the body by offering a hot and cold sensory experience.
The expansion also includes a Himalayan salt relaxation room with a 12-by-15 foot white Himalayan salt wall.
“What makes that salt room special is when the salt wall is lit, it balances out the positive and negative ions in the room,” Schebler said. “Our goal with the Himalayan Lounge is for the guests to be able to use that as a technology-free zone to rebalance, regroup and relax.”
In addition to its expanded facilities, Culture A Day Spa has also introduced new spa packages. The Perfect Pairing package is designed for couples and includes an 80-minute Hot Stone massage and their Culture Lux facial.
“With our new couple suite that we're adding on, it's going to be large enough to host facials in there as well,” Schebler said. “That's going to be something that's really unique.”
Culture A Day Spa is still open while it is undergoing renovations with construction expected to be complete in December 2024. The spa is located at 3266 Parkwood Blvd., Ste. 120, Frisco.
