Pickleball Kingdom, a rapidly growing franchise, seeks to help people discover and share their love for the game by cultivating a vibrant pickleball community. Following a grand opening event on Oct. 12 and 13, a new Pickleball Kingdom location in Pflugerville is now open.

“You're going to have a wow factor when you see what we built here. It's an oasis for pickleball,” said Jared Jolly, owner of Pickleball Kingdom in Pflugerville. “It’s going to be the premiere pickleball destination not just in Pflugerville, but the entire Austin metro area.”

The new 8,000-square-foot facility, located just off Highway 130, features three full-size pickleball courts, one half-court and a large community lounging area. The second building, set to open in March, is directly adjacent to the first and will add an additional 22,000 square feet of space, including eight full-size courts, two half-courts, a 2,000-square-foot mezzanine, a retail store and a number of large corporate events spaces.

Anyone interested in visiting the facility is welcome to sign up for a complementary, 1-hour Pickleball 101 class as well as stop by during business hours for a tour or $15 full-day play.

More about Pickleball Kingdom

The business boasts a nationwide network of Pickleball Kingdom franchises, and it offers the largest, most equipped facilities in Central Texas. Jolly, a longtime Pflugerville resident, looks forward to cultivating a vibrant local community of pickleball enthusiasts, which Jolly believes will help bring his community together.

"The real reason that pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America is any age, any physical capability and athletic ability, plays and can play pickleball,” Jolly said. “You could be athletic or non-athletic. You could be fit or not fit. You could have bad knees or good knees. You can play pickleball, and that's why it's so it's grown so rapidly.”

The company emphasizes memberships, which Jolly believes gives players the best value and experience. Through memberships, players can be matched by skill level, making sure that members engage in matches with a variety of players through challenging yet fair matches.

With memberships, players can access unlimited open-play opportunities and free court reservations for members. In the near future, the facility will also provide access to coaching, leagues and tournaments. The new facility will also have a large events space for special occasions, including birthday parties and corporate events.

Deeply entrenched in Pflugerville

Jolly has lived in Pflugerville for 25 years, and his mission is to extend his love for pickleball throughout the surrounding area.

“Pflugerville is near and dear to my heart,” he said. “I’ve raised my kids from zero to through college, all in Pflugerville. I am entrenched in the community, and I want to give back to this community, andI believe that we can help Pflugerville as a community get better.”

In addition to providing a world-class pickleball facility, Jolly plans to partner with area churches, special needs organizations, such as John 13 Community, and homeschool networks to make the sport accessible to all.

“I'm very fortunate financially. I did not start Pickleball Kingdom for financial gain. I think that we're going to be profitable as a company, but if we're not, that's okay, because I really want this to be a place to help individuals find community, get healthy physically and spiritually, but I really want to be an asset to any type of community organization,” Jolly said.

In the near future, Jolly hopes to pursue carefully curated partnerships with dedicated local businesses, such as Hybrid Physical Therapy, and quality health brands, including Liquid IV, to provide his friends and neighbors with a united, collaborative network of quality products and services.

Jolly is also looking to open an additional facility in Cedar Park in the not too distant future. At the end of the day, Jolly just hopes to connect people through a unique, beloved sport and wants people to know that no matter who they are or what their background is, they are welcome at Pickleball Kingdom.

“You might want to continue to play outdoors, and I get that, but come by sometime and take a look at our place. I think when you see our courts and our facility, you might change your mind,” Jolly said. “My wife and I love to meet people. If you’re curious, please stop by.”
