With a unique offering of three popular sports—pickleball, tennis and padel—North Texas Racquet Club has something for everyone.

NTRC stands out as the only facility in North Dallas to offer four padel courts, six pickleball courts and seven tennis courts. The club’s infrastructure is designed to provide an exceptional experience, from the quality of the courts to the high, well-placed lights that enhance nighttime play without interfering with visibility.

“The facilities are incredible, and the people who come make it a happy place,” Public Relations and Membership Director Alejandra Suarez said. “It's just incredible. Every time that somebody walks in, they come back.”

The club is home to the OT Tennis Academy, which caters to young, high-performance players ages 5 to 18. The academy has already seen success, with students being recruited for college teams. The academy’s approach focuses on long-term development, creating a competitive yet supportive environment.

“The tennis community here is strong, and our camps are very successful,” Suarez said. “The kids are competitive on the court but are friends off the court and will all go eat lunch together.”

Another way NTRC sets itself apart is by offering a place for individuals to play padel. Padel, a sport that combines elements of racquetball and tennis, is gaining popularity at NTRC. Played on a smaller court surrounded by glass and fencing, padel offers long, engaging rallies that appeal to players of all levels. The sport’s growing popularity in the U.S. is evident, and NTRC is at the forefront of this trend.

“Padel is the fastest-growing sport in the world and is second only to soccer in Spain,” Suarez said. “It’s less technically demanding than tennis, making it accessible and fun for everyone.”

Looking ahead, NTRC has a full calendar of events planned for the fall, designed to engage both members and non-members. The Tennis Competitors of Dallas leagues will kick off, and several special events are on the horizon.

One of the highlights is the Bragging Rights Tournament for padel in October, where winners will earn the titles of King and Queen of NTRC for a year. Winners will have their photos displayed in the pro shop and enjoy monthly perks, such as free guest passes or complimentary play days.

In November, the club will host its annual Turkey Tournament, a playful competition with unique prizes. Regular mixers and Halloween parties for pickleball, tennis and padel will also keep the community engaged and entertained.

Signing up for events at NTRC is easy through the organization’s website. Non-members are welcome to join events. Suarez said many non-members who participate in events often decide to join after experiencing the membership perks and great community.

“I think it's the people that make it really special,” Suarez said. “The team here is always thinking about how to make this a welcoming place that people really like.”
