This year, Grillo opened his sixth Ivy Point community, Ivy Point Cinco Ranch. The 55-plus active adult community is located at 3030 Greenbusch Road, Katy, and is designed to stand out from other active living communities.
“We know that about 80% of our residents are retired,” Grillo said. “We know that these buildings and their apartment homes are being used in a way that's very different from traditional, conventional multifamily. We truly provide an active living experience. It's not just a moniker that we use; we know that our clubhouses get used extensively, and we provide amenity space for them to be able to spend their days doing different activities and doing the different things that they feel like they want to do any given day.”

We welcome them. We see them as additional family members. They're very much a part of their life, and we would never want to consider telling somebody that they can't bring their loved pet into one of our properties.”
