Started in 1965, the nonprofit organization aims to promote visual arts while also providing a community space for artists to sell and show their work. The gallery showcases a multitude of mediums, including paintings, photography, jewelry, sculptures, pottery, glass, textiles and 3D art.
“It was developed by some local artists as a place to show and sell their artwork, and to enrich the art culture here. It is an art gallery with 100-plus local artists,” third Vice President Gretchen Goode said. “It's all original art of varying sizes and shapes at very affordable prices.”
There are two different memberships available: general membership and displaying membership. A general membership is $40 annually, while a displaying membership comes in at $80 a year and allows members to display their artwork in the main gallery if they have gone through the jury process.
