Residents and visitors can look forward to a day filled with family activities, live music and a fireworks display at this year’s Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Festival on July 4.

The event begins at 4 p.m. and wraps up at 10 p.m., offering free activities and entertainment. Attendees can enjoy water rides, inflatables and fair rides, along with complimentary face painting and various art and treat vendors lining the streets.

What to expect

This year’s live music lineup features local musician Ruthie Craft, Pearl Z, The Saddle Sores, Lena Luca, and headliner Vallejo. The performances will build up a fireworks display, with Bee Cave Mayor Kara King leading the countdown.

“Vallejo is awesome,” Marketing Manager Alora Hess said. “They're such a crowd pleaser. They're really great at what they do and they’re very interactive with the crowd.”

Attendees can look forward to new additions to this year’s event, including new food vendors and complimentary swag such as bubbles, light-up wands, beach balls and LED glasses.

"The kids love all the swag, so we decided to include it this year," Hess said.

Know before you go

Hess said she expects around 20,000 guests to attend the event, so planning ahead for parking is important. She recommended guests park in one of the garages so they can easily locate their car after the event. Visitors are also encouraged to bring their own blankets and foldable chairs for the lawn area to enjoy the fireworks.

To help attendees stay cool in the Texas heat, large industrial cooling fans will be set up throughout the venue.

“We’re bringing those this year to help cool off the crowd,” Hess said. “We want people to stay hydrated, so we have invited Cforce out to provide complimentary waters. Maybe bring your own personal fan too.”
