Dr. Paul Shirk, an Austin-native and graduate of National University of Health Sciences, has brought a unique perspective to chiropractic care in the city with the opening of his new clinic. With a background in social work, Dr. Shirk has always been passionate about helping people overcome challenges and improve their overall well-being.

"I saw the impact chiropractors had on the lives of my disabled clients," Dr. Shirk said. "It often provided an effective alternative to prescriptions and surgery without some of those associated side effects. I decided to become a chiropractor because I wanted to make a bigger impact."

This holistic approach to care is what attracted Chris Corona, a massage and stretch therapist with a private practice called Knead Recovery, to become the 100% Chiropractic franchisee owner of Dr. Shirk's clinic, located at 3800 N. Lamar Blvd., Ste. 160.

"As a therapist, I've seen how soft tissue issues can often recur when the underlying musculoskeletal problems aren't addressed," Corona said. "What excited me about this franchise was the opportunity to help my clients fix these foundational issues and achieve lasting relief."

The clinic uses state-of-the-art assessment tools, such as X-rays and a 3D body scanner called the Styku, to gain a comprehensive understanding of each patient's unique needs. This allows Dr. Shirk and his team to provide precise, personalized adjustments and treatment plans.

"Many of our patients have come to us because they've heard we are intentional about our adjustments," Dr. Shirk said. "With corrective care, I also have an opportunity to help patients break a cycle of pain and find lasting relief."

The clinic has seen remarkable success stories in just a few weeks since opening.

"We've seen significant improvements in some of our patients," Dr. Shirk said. "The reduction in both pain and mobility is really satisfying as a participant in this and seeing people get well."

For Dr. Shirk and Corona, chiropractic care is about more than just treating physical symptoms. It's about helping patients achieve optimal health and wellness in all aspects of their lives.

"Our mission is to remove barriers to peak performance, whether that means improving a golfer's swing or simply helping someone move through their day with less pain," Dr. Shirk said.

The clinic's commitment to patient wellness extends beyond just chiropractic adjustments. They also offer massage, stretching and therapeutic laser sessions to complement their corrective care plans.

As the first location in the Austin metropolitan area, Dr. Shirk's clinic is poised to make a lasting impact on the community. With his unique background and Corona's expertise in soft tissue therapy, they are redefining what it means to provide exceptional, comprehensive care for their patients.

To help celebrate the launch of the new location, the clinic is offering two new patient specials for those wanting to try out the services at a discounted price.

The specials:
  • $49: includes x-rays, body scan, chiropractic consult, first adjustment and choice of one-hour massage or stretch and a therapeutic laser session
  • $100: includes x-rays, body scan, chiropractic consult, first adjustment and one-hour massage, one-hour stretch and a therapeutic laser session
