As the city of Kyle continues to grow, more individuals are moving to the city and looking for a place to call home.

Master-planned community Crosswinds offers residents newly built homes, a state-of-the-art amenity center, over 5 miles of paved and unpaved walking trails and quality schools. The unique design of the community makes it an ideal place for families.

Crosswinds was designed to be a place where residents can connect with their neighbors. For example, the Windy Point Amenity Center is strategically located at the center of the community. Because it is easily accessible to all residents, it creates a natural hub for neighbors to gather and children to play. The amenity center features a large community pool with beach entry, splash park, dog park, pickleball courts, a half-court sport court, a playground, grills and picnic areas.

Greg Rich, co-managing partner at Siepiela Interests, said the pool becomes a social hub for the community in the summer.

“It becomes a really cool place to be,” Rich said.

In addition to the centralized amenity center, Crosswinds is the site of a future Hays Consolidated Independent School District elementary school. This addition is expected to significantly enhance the community's appeal to families with young children.

“We are very family-centric in our community development, and the most important thing to the family beyond their home is the school that their kids are going to,” Rich said. “Having a school on-site helps our community thrive.”

Rich said residents serve on homeowners association committees and are actively involved in planning social events, and this makes residents feel even more connected to their community. The Resident Social Committee plans events throughout the year including a fall festival and summer soiree.

“I get calls from families that say they are just grateful to live in Crosswinds, and that makes my day,” Rich said. “To get those calls from homeowners over and over again, that makes us feel like we've done our job.”

The city of Kyle has grown significantly over the past decade. To support this growth, Windy Hill Road is undergoing significant improvements, including expansion and the addition of

traffic signals to better manage the increasing traffic. These enhancements are expected to be completed by the middle of 2025, further improving connectivity and accessibility for Crosswinds residents.
