Nestled in Texas Hill Country, La Cima is inviting community members and prospective homebuyers to an open house extravaganza on Saturday, May 18. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests will take a peek into life at the master-planned community while enjoying a blend of fun-filled activities for the whole family.

Everything to know before you go

Attendees will embark on self-guided tours of ten new model homes, each crafted with meticulous attention to detail by highly acclaimed builders such as Ashton Woods Homes, Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes and Pulte Homes. With lots ranging from 40- to 80-feet, there’s a perfect fit for every lifestyle and preference.

In each model home, local San Marcos restaurant Palmer’s Restaurant Bar & Courtyard will cater an assortment of light bites and non-alcoholic beverages for event-goers to try while they explore different floor plans and features.

But the open house offers more than just a glimpse into La Cima homes. Guests can take advantage of special home buying incentives, participate in exciting giveaways, collect freebies from builders, enter to win two $500 shopping sprees and listen to live music. Kids’ activities include a bounce house, face painting, a fire truck showing, a cotton candy machine and much more.

Food and beverage options at the event include:
  • Whacked Out Weiner for gourmet hot dogs
  • Oh My Pizza Pie for wood-fired slices
  • Mocha & Javas for fresh smoothies
  • Southbound Sips for specialty mocktails and cocktails
“It’s free food and free beverages, but you also get to tour these beautiful, brand-new model homes,” Partnership Marketing Manager Melissa Jewett said. “It’s a fun day for a family that may be thinking about trying to live in a corridor that is booming.”

Guests should park at the amenity center located at 301 Central Park Loop, San Marcos. From there, a valet shuttle will transport them to the different model homes. Attendees are also encouraged to come early, as the first 250 arrivals will receive a free goodie bag filled with an assortment of surprise items.

“It’s not often you can have an event where this many different models are ready to go and all looking their best,” Jewett said. “It allows you to accomplish a lot in finding your dream home in a very short amount of time.”

About La Cima

Spanning over 3,200 acres, the vibrant community offers a unique blend of small-town charm and big-city conveniences. Situated just five minutes west of downtown San Marcos along the bustling I-35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio, La Cima boasts an enviable location at the doorstep of a future metropolis.

“San Marcos is consistently rated as one of America’s top college towns,” Jewett said. “Not only for the university and those employment opportunities, but with that comes arts, culture, live music, restaurants. San Marcos has so much to offer.”

Another perk for La Cima residents is easy access to its myriad of amenities, including a resort-caliber recreation center featuring an activity room, meeting room, fitness center and family and adult swimming pools. La Cima also plans to add playscapes, over 10 miles of hike and bike trails, community recreation fields and a Central Park covering over 45 acres. In total, La Cima will boast more than 1,700 acres of open space and parkland, providing ample opportunities for outdoor living.

“At La Cima, one of the biggest draws is your surroundings,” Jewett said.

Students living in La Cima have the option to attend San Marcos CISD, Hays CISD or Wimberley ISD. Additionally, the vicinity hosts two private schools: San Marcos Academy and Hill Country Christian School.

Home prices start at the mid $300,000s. Its 80-foot lots are reserved for build-your-own ventures, where buyers will bring in their own builder to customize a home. The community’s model homes are open daily, awaiting visitors who are seeking their own slice of Hill Country paradise.
