Austin-area residents who cherish unplugging and getting back to basics with outdoor living, togetherness and state-of-the-art amenities may find their forever home in Liberty Hill’s new master-planned community. Lariat is more than just a neighborhood; it’s a lifestyle choice—a place where individuals, couples and families can put down roots and thrive.

The vision for Lariat was conceptualized by President of Randolph Texas Development Randy Rollo and his two sons, Grant Rollo and Will Rollo. Randy Rollo’s experience over 30 years in custom homebuilding, developing and serving as division president for both public and private homebuilding companies, has filled him with tremendous passion for community development. His two sons, who also have an extensive history in the industry, came back to their roots in Central Texas after working in markets locally and out of state.

“Since acquiring this land in 2015, our goal has always been to develop a community that was centered around bringing families and neighbors together,” Randy Rollo said. “Lariat offers families a convenient escape from the bustle with stunning amenities and sought-after schools.”

What’s happening now in Lariat?

Ten furnished model homes are open daily, with new homes available now from five highly acclaimed builders. Phase 1 builders consist of Perry Homes, Ashton Woods, Chesmar Homes, Landsea Homes and Tri Pointe Homes. Home prices range from the mid $300,000s to the $600,000s. With 56 closings and 146 sales since Lariat’s launch last September and another 310 lots set to deliver between July and November, Lariat is not just a vision but a reality in motion.

“From the outset, we wanted to design a community that ran with the topography of the [land] instead of making it fit a certain criterion,” Grant Rollo said. “We wanted homes in the design to fit with the land. We want to honor the land, the heritage and the legacy.”

One way Lariat residents are beckoned to spend time outdoors is the top-notch amenities outside their doorsteps. Scheduled for completion this summer, the Junction Amenity Pavilion and Watering Hole Pool Complex promise a haven for those seeking relaxation and recreation. An extensive hike and bike trail system, outdoor fitness areas, dog parks and pocket parks throughout the community are also underway.

Lariat families with young children will enjoy the perks of having a Liberty Hill ISD elementary school nestled within the community in the coming years. Rollo said the district closed on the land for the building last May and it is currently in the design phase.

“Liberty Hill ISD is such a prominent school district. It’s very well respected. I love the excitement that the elementary school brings to the community,” Grant Rollo said.

As excitement grows, so does the anticipation for larger homesites in Phase 2 of Lariat, coming this fall. Builders will include Tri Pointe Homes, Castle Rock, Drees Homes, Coventry Homes and Highland Homes.

“There’s something for everybody here at Lariat,” Grant Rollo said.

With strong velocity of home sales and a dynamic group of builders on board, Lariat is on its way to becoming the bustling community it set out to be. As the community looks toward the completion of its amenities and the opening of Phase 2, one thing is clear: Lariat is not just a place to live—it’s a place to belong.

“Knowing what the vision was, seeing the vision carried out, having homebuyers, builders, realtors excited about it is a very cool feeling,” Grant Rollo said. “We’re delivering something a little bit different than other communities.”
