In the heart of downtown Pflugerville, a newly opened coworking space invites professionals in search of a dynamic workspace. With private offices perfect for client meetings and communal areas for brainstorming, The Branch Workspace at JLA offers a spectrum of options to suit every professional’s preference.

The Branch Workspace at JLA was once home to Jerry Lawyer and Associates, Inc, an insurance agency that has been in the Pflugerville community since 2006. Now, President Debbie Lawyer and Marketing Director Desiree Grupe are hoping to breathe new life into the building.

“A lot of jobs can be done remote, but every now and then you need to get away from your house in favor of a more professional setting,” Lawyer said.

About The Branch Workspace at JLA

Located at 601 East Pecan St., the office is situated conveniently near restaurants, coffee shops, an H-E-B and the Executive Airport.

“The location is amazing. It’s part of the Downtown Business Association,” Lawyer said. “It’s a very easy location for anybody in the Round Rock, Pflugerville and North Austin area to access.”

The limestone building is surrounded by pecan trees, and windows throughout the building give visitors the feeling of being immersed in nature while they work.

“When you walk in, it seems professional but not overly modernized or stuffy,” Grupe said.

The Branch Workspace caters to both independent workers and collaborative endeavors. The 5,000-square-foot facility offers a myriad of options for renters, boasting two conference rooms, four spacious corner offices, nine smaller offices, workstations, restrooms and a kitchen.

Whether someone is seeking to reserve the entire building for a group or simply book a room for a Zoom meeting, The Branch Workspace offers flexible solutions to fit specific needs.

“If a group came in for an office retreat, the conference room would be a great place for their main meeting and then breakouts in some of the other offices,” Lawyer said.

More perks at The Branch Workspace at JLA include:
  • High-speed WiFi
  • SmartTVs
  • A receptionist at the front desk
  • Coffee bar
  • Full-color printers and scanner
  • Future possibility for mail delivery services
The Branch Workspace is also a prime location for after-hours events like cocktail hours or company parties. The workspace aims to be a more affordable and flexible option than a hotel or event venue.

“We want to make sure it’s not just cut and dry, because at a lot of workspaces, the lights go out at a certain time and there’s no access after that,” Lawyer said.

If a client has additional needs or an out-of-the-box idea for how to use the space, The Branch Workspace staff is open to discussion.

“We are here for the community ... and we are very flexible,” Grupe said. “I feel like we’re generous with the things we would accommodate.”

How to book The Branch Workspace at JLA

The Branch Workspace currently operates on an appointment-only basis. Those interested can book a room or multiple rooms through The Branch Workspace website or Peerspace.

“We relish getting people to come back. We like repeat customers,” Lawyer said. “But those one-offs, somebody’s sitting at home and their kids are home from spring break, they can’t do their job while the kids are there or whatever—those are the people we want [to come in] too.”
