Luxury living at an affordable price: Sunfield in Buda offers residents fun for the whole family

For prospective homeowners looking to settle down, look no further than Sunfield. The new home community in Buda is located just south of Austin and offers residents fun for the whole family in a quaint, welcoming atmosphere.

As Sunfield has grown, the developer has continued to expand the community amenities to serve residents. The community will have two amenity centers with lazy rivers and pools the original amenity center has a Jr. Olympic lap pool.

The amenities and amenity centers include:
  • pocket parks
  • 20+ miles of hike and bike paths
  • Lakes and greenbelts
  • dog parks
  • Sunbright activity center
  • Lazy River amenity center
  • Lakeside amenity center (coming soon)
“Sunfield has long been the model for how to develop resort living at an affordable price point,” said James Feagin, CEO of Scarborough Lane Development, Inc., the developer for Sunfield. “You won’t find any other community in this market with three amenity centers, two lazy rivers and the level of amenities and lifestyle in this price range.”

The Sunbright activity center features a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, lap lanes, barbecue pits and a plenty of shade structures so visitors can keep cool. Nearby the activity center is a community amphitheater that hosts a variety of concerts throughout the year. Buda has a high percentage of park land and families can easily engage in activities “off the beaten path” on an extensive system of hike and bike trails.

To take advantage of the hilly park land, Sunfield offers an active lifestyle program and full time lifestyle coordinator and posts all public events on its Facebook page. Some of the activities residents can participate in include an Easter egg hunt, community garage sales and bazaars as well as an annual 5K in November which Sunfield sponsors.

For residents with furry friends, Sunfield offers a large dog park with areas for both small and large dogs.

The Lazy River amenity center is another highlight in the community and features a lazy river, basketball hoop, barbecue pits, lounge chairs and restroom facilities. As the community continues to grow, the Sunfield developer decided it was time for another lazy river, and will be unveiling the community's third amenity center, Lakeside, this summer.

“We are investing an additional $11 million in Sunfield to build this third amenity center because now more than ever, home buyers look for communities with built-in fun and lifestyle programming,” Feagin said. “Sunfield has it all, and we want to be ready for the additional families coming into our community.”

Ready to make the move? Sunfield has seven active builders in the community and the model home park is open and ready for tours.

Another draw to the area are the schools, including Sunfield Elementary School, which opened in 2022 and was one of the first in Buda. The surrounding area was also developed to include a fire station, nearby hospital, multifamily living options, convenience store, Amazon facility and large H-E-B grocery store.

Sunfield is located at 6910 Sunfield Pkwy, Buda, and is just minutes away from major employers, including Tesla, Apple, and Amazon. Residents can easily visit downtown Buda, the St. Elmo Arts District and Kyle. Downtown Austin is a mere 20 minutes away.
