Residents of Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes experience resort-style living with compassionate staff, engaging events and social connection in League City.

Executive Director Tony Trevizo said Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes is an inviting community where residents can connect with others and feel at home.

“We bring a higher level of excellence and service, not only in the amenities or in how beautiful our community is, but also the personalized service and the people that make our community,” Trevizo said.

The community offers three kinds of care to meet each resident’s specific needs.
  • Independent living: ideal for residents who do not need assistance with day-to-day tasks, but enjoy having chef-prepared meals, transportation and activities provided in their home
  • Assisted living: for individuals who need help with mobility or taking medication but still want to enjoy a vibrant life
  • Luminations® Memory care: secure and compassionate care for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia
“In a lot of these communities, memory care is an afterthought, Trevizo said. “Memory care is in the back somewhere. Usually it's the third smallest building on that property. We don't do that here.”

Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes also offers a women-only memory care neighborhood called Lavender Lane.

The community has an age-in community approach, meaning residents do not have to move when their needs change. If a resident moved to Grand Living Tuscan Lakes as an independent-living resident but later on needs more help with mobility, they can continue living at the same residence at Grand Living with staff who are familiar with them.

“That's important because now the care comes to them,” Trevizo said. “I think that that's unique and special for this area because I know no other communities around us have that.”

Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes is a lively community with a wide variety of events for residents to enjoy.

“We try to tailor activities and events that are unique to each individual,” Trevizo said.

For example, Trevizo said there is a group of residents who love to play bridge so community staff provided a space and a table for the group to be able to play the card game together. He said there are residents who love to knit and quilt together as well.

Residents can also enjoy a social hour four times a week, a heated pool, pickleball courts, The Grand Spa and Fitness center, the Forum theatre, a salon, a library and three dining rooms where from-scratch chef-prepared meals are made daily.

Trevizo said after hearing feedback from residents, the Executive chef started making pickled jalapenos because residents wanted more spice in their food.

“That's a favorite condiment residents put on their tacos or on their burgers or even on their pizza,” Trevizo said. “We'll allow our culinary team to bring out those creative ideas and to really bring in the flavor for our area.”

The community’s staff is another asset that sets it apart from other assisted living facilities in the area.

“We're going to go above and beyond our daily scope of duties,” Trevizo said. “If asked upon, we will jump in and help each other out. That's what it's all about.”
