Residents at Grand Living at Georgetown experience resort-style living with compassionate staff, engaging events and social connection.

Residents can receive the personalized care they need while still living an active and engaging life.

“This place is so happy, so filled with life,”Executive Director, Kate Jones said. “Everyone is so friendly. Residents will stop and talk when we're going through our tour and meet the person that we're touring with and tell them how much they love living here.”

The community offers three kinds of care to meet each resident’s specific needs.
  • Independent living: Ideal for residents who do not need assistance with day-to-day tasks, but enjoy having chef-prepared meals, transportation and activities provided in their home.
  • Assisted living: For individuals who need help with mobility or taking medication but still want to enjoy a vibrant life.
  • Luminations® Memory care: Secure and compassionate care for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia.
The community has an age-in community approach, meaning residents do not have to move when their needs change.

”Everybody can stay in their same residence and then the assistance they need comes right to them,” Jones said. “It's pretty unique in the area.”

Grand Living at Georgetown also offers a women-only memory care neighborhood called Lavender Lane.

Grand Living at Georgetown’s director of health and wellness is a registered nurse, so residents can receive the care they need while still enjoying an active lifestyle.

“We have nurses who work on the evening shift, and we have nurses who are here on the weekends,” Jones said. “While we're not a medical facility, we do provide quite a bit of medical care.”

Jones said many residents move to Grand Living at Georgetown from Sun City and find some familiar faces from their previous neighborhood.

“There's a real sense of community and it's really neat when they already have friendships they’ve formed and see those friends living here,” Jones said.

The community’s staff is another asset that sets it apart from other assisted living facilities in the area.

“This team is amazing,” Jones said. “The majority of us have been here since the community opened.”

Jones said she understands the transition to assisted living can be challenging for individuals and their families so she and the staff take time to answer questions and provide information individuals need.

“A lot of times just listening to what they're going through, what their needs are and knowing that it's it's not an easy thing to go through,” Jones said.

Grand Living at Georgetown is a lively community with a wide variety of events and amenities for residents to enjoy. Residents can enjoy a social hour four times a week, a heated pool, a salon, a library and from-scratch chef-prepared meals that are made daily.

“Grand Living is a five-star place,” Jones said. “We have a beautiful formal dining room, three different dining venues, the Forum theatre and the Grand Spa and Fitness center ...it really does feel a little bit like a very fancy high-end cruise ship.”
