Primrose School of Breckinridge Park is located at 4301 E Renner Road, Richardson. The private preschool serves children from six weeks to six years old and provides year-round full and part time education.

Primrose School is proud to be part of the esteemed Konrad Schools ownership group, which has been successfully operating since 1997 and has established a strong presence across multiple locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This extensive experience and commitment to excellence ensure that Primrose school maintains the highest standards of education and care for its students.

Primrose School of Breckinridge Park extends its educational school year beyond the regular academic year. The school provides engaging summer camp and after-school programs tailored for children up to 12 years old, offering a blend of fun and learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

As part of its proprietary curriculum, Primrose School incorporates in-class extracurricular activities to enrich the learning experience. Additionally, the school offers specialized classes in music, agriculture, and culinary arts, providing students with a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures their physical, intellectual, and creative development.

Executive Director Justine Lysowski said Primrose School helps children grow and reach new milestones.

“At Primrose School of Breckinridge Park, we recognize the unique developmental needs of each child, and our programs are designed to cater to these individual requirements,” Lysowski said. “Our students are grouped according to their age and developmental milestones, ensuring that they receive age-appropriate and targeted instruction.”

For younger learners, the focus is on fostering physical development, sensory exploration, and cognitive skills development. As children progress to the older groups, the curriculum emphasizes literacy, phonics, fine and gross motor skills, and foundational math concepts. This structured approach ensures that each child receives the necessary support to thrive academically and developmentally.

Parents can trust that the dedicated staff at Primrose School are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where every child's unique needs are met. Whether a child is just beginning their educational journey or reaching new milestones, the Primrose School team is dedicated to their growth and success.

“We meet the child where they are, and recognize each child individually, placing them on a path for success,” Lysowski said. “We teach children that everybody belongs [and] everybody has a place in our community."

Breckinridge Park actively participates in numerous local community events and fundraisers, providing students with opportunities to engage with the community and learn the value of being helpful. These experiences not only enrich their understanding of the world around them but also instill important values of compassion and civic responsibility from an early age.

While learning activities differ by age group, each day starts with circle time which sets the tone for the day. Teachers invite children to discuss the weather and day of the week and also appoint a handful of kids to be that day’s “leader.”

“Kids get appointed to be a leader of an area for that day which helps them practice leadership and responsibility,” Lysowski said.

For the rest of the day, children engage in different activities such as listening to music, taking naps, going outdoors, show-and-tell and science projects. Kids are also fed a snack and a full, nutritious lunch.

Lysowski said Primrose School's curriculum approach is a fusion of Montessori principles with traditional American teaching methods. This blend aims to provide a balanced and comprehensive educational experience that incorporates the strengths of both approaches to benefit students' learning and development.

“The children are learning, but through a lot of play, tactile [experiences] and exploring,” Lysowski said.

Parents can enroll their children online or enroll through a tour. The school is open Mon.-Fri. 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and is only closed for major holidays. For more information about Primrose School of Breckinridge Park, visit the preschool’s website.
