Residents at Regatta 55, an active senior living community in Fort Worth, can live life like they’re on a cruise. The nautical-themed, four-story community offers spacious apartments with amenities for residents to relax and meet others.

“Our community is set up for many ways to gather,” said Property Manager Natasha Jones. “We create a space for camaraderie and socializing.”

Jones said Regatta 55 is not an assisted living facility. It is for active, mature adults who are looking for a small-scale home with social activities nearby. The community allows residents to build friendships with people in the same phase of life as themselves to support each other.

Spacious living

Regatta 55 offers unique floor plans: studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom. The community is four stories and has an elevator for resident convenience.

Apartments have spacious living spaces, wood-style flooring, in-unit washers and dryers and large bathrooms with walk-in showers. The apartments are between 666 and 931 square feet.

“Even though our square footage sounds limited, when you walk into the actual apartment you get a lot of wow,” Jones said. “They're just super cute layouts.”

Apartments cost between $1,392 and $1,968 a month.

A supportive community

The property is perfect for people who want to downsize their homes and still enjoy an active lifestyle. Jones said other active-living communities can feel confined and limited, but Regatta 55 is different. She said Regatta 55 is lively and the residents have a lot of fun.

“They just have so much fun here and I think that's kind of what sets us apart,” Jones said.

There are many amenities for residents to enjoy, all designed to bring people together.

Regatta 55 includes amenities such as:
  • Starboard Cinema
  • Quarter-Deck Lounge
  • Sailor's Beauty Salon
  • Community Garden, Putting Green, Fire Pit and Grill
  • Promenade Patio
  • Poop Deck Bark Park
  • Walk The Plank - Fitness Center
  • Captain's Quarters - Onsite Leasing and Maintenance
  • Spinnaker Room

One of Jones’ favorite amenities is the Onsite Guest Suite that’s made for residents’ family and friends as they come to visit.

Jones said residents also enjoy pool and poker tournaments, crafting, a wine club and swapping recipes.

“They love sharing recipes so they do a lot of recipe swaps and things of that nature,” she said. At a recent potluck, residents made spaghetti and added basil and thyme they grew in the garden.
