“It's a wonderful community,” onsite Manager Mark Bentley said. “It's just a really nice place to kind of kick back, unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the city.”

“It's quiet right now,” Dinwiddie said. “It's peaceful. The neighbors are really nice.”
What makes it unique
Bentley said there aren’t many built-to-rent single family communities in the McKinney area.
The community is a good option for people who want more space than an apartment but are not ready to purchase a home, he said.
“We all know how the market is now,” Bentley said. “It's almost impossible to buy a house at a decent price in an area like this. [The Retreat at Honey Creek] gives people options.”
Local perks
McKinney is growing with every passing day but it still gives off that small-town vibe, Bentley said.
McKinney’s restaurants, schools, parks and historic downtown square make it stand out from other cities in the area.
Historic downtown McKinney is about a 20 minute drive from The Retreat at Honey Creek. Residents have easy access to McKinney’s local restaurants, shops and community events.
