Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce prepares for Montgomery Music in the Park

2023 marks a new and fresh era for the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, as they prepare to put on their upgraded Montgomery Music in the Park, presented by Optimum. With 16 years of experience in hosting large events, this year is sure to be a success like previous years.

The details:
  • Saturday, Sept. 16
  • 2-10 p.m.
  • West Montgomery County Park, 16716 FM 149, Montgomery
Funds raised by the event will go towards the chamber and will help support its mission of giving back to the community and being a trusted source of support for local businesses.

“We just want to continue to expand our reach and not place that burden so heavily on membership dues. We try to support our mission of being a resource for local businesses with our event revenue that we bring in,” Shannan Reid, Director of the Montgomery Area Chamber said. “In addition to our internal work with member businesses, we also want to be able to give back to our community. A portion of the proceeds of the event will definitely be finding their way back into the community for support.”

Ticket prices are as follows:
  • $20 (adults ages 13 and up)
  • $10 (kids ages four to 12)
  • Free (kids three and under)
  • $100 (VIP tickets)
For those who decide to purchase VIP tickets, multiple perks and amenities will be available, including: access to premier seating; two drink tickets; complimentary snacks; exclusive menu items including frozen margaritas; and air conditioned indoor bathrooms.

Those with general admission tickets will still find a wide variety of items to enjoy, like craft beer and wine gardens where patrons can enjoy flights containing four different 4 oz. pours. The event also features a children’s area containing a bounce house and other kid-friendly activities. Pets are also welcome but must remain on a leash.

“The event is at a beautiful 10-acre park situated right in front of the little league ball fields as you're driving north of Montgomery into the forest. It is just pristine,” Reid said. “The manicured park is going to be such a lovely backdrop to the festival and you’ll be able to relax and enjoy all of the components of the festival seated under the trees. Just kick back and enjoy the music and the craft beer garden or wine garden.”

The event will feature the following local Texas country music artists:
  • 2:30-4:00 p.m.: Trey Gauthreaux
  • 4:30-6:00 p.m.: Payton Howie
  • 6:30-8:00 p.m.: Hayden Haddock
  • 8:30-10:00 p.m.: Chad Cooke Band
If attendees want to capture the important moments and make sure they are able to stay in contact with friends during the event, the presenting sponsor Optimum has them covered in terms of connectivity and Wi-Fi. Worried about parking? There is plenty of onsite parking, but just to be sure, the chamber has set up overflow parking at Montgomery ISD Football Stadium with shuttles ready to bus attendees over.
