Since opening its first branch in Round Rock in 2009, RBank has offered personalized financial services to the Austin-area. After outgrowing its original Georgetown location, the bank opened a new location in the heart of downtown Georgetown at 405 S. Austin Ave. on August 21.

RBank staff members are planning a grand opening ceremony September 28. The bank will be open after hours and there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.

RBank offers financial services such as checking accounts, savings accounts, certificate of deposits, auto loans, mortgage loans and more.

What truly sets RBank apart is its focus on personalized service. Unlike larger institutions where clients might feel lost in a sea of numbers, RBank prioritizes personability and accessibility.

“There's a lot of banks where you go inside and you don't know anybody,” Banking Center President Travis Perthuis said. “If you have an issue or a question, you can just pick up the phone and call us or you can come down and I'll be there.”

Perthuis said the new location is considerably bigger than the former location, with room for future growth.

“It's a much more prominent space downtown right off the square in Georgetown,” he said. “It’s a better space as far as just being able to grow and to have all the services that we offer in one space.”

The new building will allow the bank to have a mortgage lender in the office. RBank offered mortgages at their previous location, but the lender primarily worked out of her home. Having someone on-site will create a better customer experience, Perthuis said.

Not only does this move signify RBank’s expansion, but it is an example of RBank’s dedication to the community it serves.

“The building in itself creates a different presence,” Perthuis said. “I think it also represents a sizable investment in the community. We've put a very considerable amount into making a long term investment into Georgetown and it'll allow us to expand.”

Perthuis noted that many of RBank’s clients are business owners, so having the ability to call the bank and talk to someone they know personally is a valuable resource as they get their businesses off the ground.

This customer-centric approach has undoubtedly contributed to the bank's longstanding relationships with its clients. RBank has enduring relationships with its employees as well, with many employees having worked at RBank for more than 10 years, Perthuis said.

“We've got really good tenure with our employees, which seems to create a lot of stability with customers,” Perthuis said. “I think that goes a long way.”

In addition to the new Georgetown location, RBank has locations in Round Rock, Austin, Bertram, Schwertner, Jarrell, Edna, Cedar Park and Fort Worth.

“I think we have some of the best bankers around,” Perthuis said.
