Are you looking to celebrate the holidays in person this year? Plan ahead to attend holiday light shows, meet and greets and more at Lights on the Lake in Little Elm. This 24–nights-of-lights event will feature an incredible light show, pictures with Santa, a hot air balloon glow, a Ferris wheel, a carousel, and an ice-skating rink.

In addition, the event will also have food trucks, vendors, and performance acts, including ballets and choirs. The ticket price for the event includes the additional ice skating and ride activities. Parking is also included in the ticket price.

This is the first year for a walkable holiday lights event for Little Elm. The Town hosted a drive-through light show in 2020 and 2021. Drew Bailey, the Town's managing director of tourism and business development, said she is excited to see this event come to life.

"This event offers a fantastic opportunity to create special memories this holiday season, along with great photo opportunities for families and exciting entertainment, so I think it's going to bring a little bit more to the table than other events."

Lights on The Lake will feature a Candy Cane Lane, Frosted Forest, and lighted tunnels, along with holiday displays and Instagrammable spots perfect for holiday pictures.

The event requires an early start, and Bailey said she and her team have been busy planning since February. There is also an ongoing early bird ticket deal through October 31 for a discounted ticket rate—customers can use the code EARLYBIRD22 for $5 off the ticket price. The code will expire on October 31.

Lights on The Lake offers a variety of activities the whole family can enjoy, and the event will feature different themes and entertainment each weekend. Check out the breakdown of weekends below.

Weekend One | Elf on the Shelf | Nov. 25-26

Uh oh! You'd better watch out! Santa's elf is back and has plenty of mischief up his sleeves. This event will feature photo opportunities.

Weekend Two | Annual Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade | December 3

Ring in the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade. For attendees interested in other ongoing attractions, tickets will be available for purchase on-site.

Note: Due to special events, traffic and attendance are expected to be high on this date.

Weekend Three | Santa and his Reindeer | Dec. 8-10

Check out this event to say hello to Santa and take pictures with The Big Guy!

Weekend Four | Frozen | Dec. 15-17

Put on your warmest winter coat and explore the icy fjords from "Frozen." Watch Queen Elsa and Princess Ana travel from Arendelle to spread their winter magic right here in Texas. This event will feature a meet and greet and photo opportunities with fan-favorite "Frozen" characters.

Weekend Five | The Grinch | Dec. 22-24

Mean, green, present-stealing machine! At this event, keep a close eye on the Grinch as he plans to plot and scheme his way through Lights on The Lake. In addition, this event will feature photo opportunities.

Lights on The Lake will be open every day during the week of Christmas and two days following Christmas, from Dec. 19-27.
