Featuring a product line of handcrafted Texas-inspired T-shirts and hats, Tumbleweed Tex-Styles offers just the thing for anyone looking to put a Texan spin on their holiday shopping.

Since it was founded in 2011 by Brian Wysong and Jeb Matulich, the Frisco-based company has grown from a home-based online business to a $4.4 million company that has done custom design work for Texas institutions like Whataburger, Dr Pepper and Zavala’s BBQ.

“People have really bought into the story of how we got started,” Wysong said. “Ever since then, we’ve stayed true to who we are by supporting local communities and businesses.”

After experiencing success through wholesale and online purchases, Tumbleweed TexStyles opened a brick-and-mortar location in Frisco’s Rail District in fall 2020, featuring their beloved T-shirts and hats along with new items found only in-store.

“We’re able to test new products, like fleece and outerwear, glassware, and leather goods, then we can scale it onto our site and wholesale,” Wysong said. “But most importantly it’s about connecting the people. We are able to talk and shake hands, hug, laugh and drink with people in our community.”

Whether you are aiming to have your holiday shopping done before Thanksgiving or need a last-minute gift idea, check out this list of 10 Texas-themed items from Tumbleweed TexStyles:

The Whataburger Flying W T-Shirt

There’s almost nothing more Texan than Whataburger, and Tumbleweed TexStyles is the official shirt provider for the iconic burger chain.

“They’ve asked us to be a part of it because they see our brand and design work amplify the theme of what they do,” Wysong said. “[Whataburger] saw that our designs resonated so well with people that they wanted to use our shirts as a way of marketing.”

Frisco Rocks/Old Fashioned Glass & Texas Chica Stemless Wine Glass

Whether it's on the rocks or whiskey neat, this old fashioned glass pays homage to Frisco’s railroad roots, featuring the BNSF Railway Company logo, which was a historical railroad that ran through the Southern U.S. in the 1800s. The Texas Towns T-Shirt

The Texas Towns T-Shirt may be Tumbleweed TexStyles’ most well-known, and best-selling, item. One of the brand’s first T-shirts, the top includes nearly 200 towns listed inside the shape of Texas, from Alpine to Lubbock to Nacogdoches to Frisco.

“We pride ourselves on hand-crafted designs, meaning my wife Hillary, and Jeb, my business partner, start everything we do on a pad and paper and then we translate it to a T-shirt or hat,” Wysong said. “Our core competency is our graphic design.”

Ladies Sherpa Ranchero Jacket and Men's Tejas Quilted Puffer Jacket

Tumbleweed TexStyles offers several products only available at their flagship store in Frisco’s Rail District, including these two jackets: navy blue for men and white for women. Make sure you’ve added a visit to the store to your weekend to-do list before the holiday rush to grab these store-exclusive items.
