Dr. Zachary Smith, aka Dr. Z, started his practice in February 2020 to offer comprehensive care for patients from start to finish.

“We are family-owned and we try to help people with any budget. We have options for everyone,” Smith said.

Patients will always see the same dentist at Z Dentistry since it is a private practice. Rather than rushing or seeing the doctor for only a few moments, staff are able to spend more quality time with patients.

“We are very close to our patients. We form relationships with every single person that walks through our door and really get to know them on a personal level,” Smith said. “Most of our patients we know on a first-name basis and treat them like they are family.”

From digital X-rays and intraoral cameras to studio photography for cosmetic procedures, Z Dentistry uses the latest and most advanced technology in a setting with several amenities to make the visit enjoyable. Patients start their visit in a reception area featuring a coffee and tea bar, TV, magazines, a charging station, complimentary Wi-Fi and a kid's corner. Additionally, there are TV’s on the ceiling in the exam rooms so patients can relax during a procedure.

Whether patients have never been to the dentist before or see the dentist every six months, the goal at Z Dentistry is to provide comprehensive care. Dental services at Z Dentistry are available to everyone, focusing on getting the patient a healthy smile. Patients receive easy-to-understand exam results at the end of every first-time appointment, giving them the ability to understand their oral health as well as any conditions or diseases they may have.

“The comprehensive care we aim to achieve is complete dental and oral health. We are not just going to come in and clean your teeth and say goodbye,” Smith said. “We will take care of you from start to finish, taking care of your mouth and getting it completely healthy again or if it’s already healthy then maintaining it and prevention.”

It can be challenging for patients without dental insurance to find a solution to get care. In keeping with its mission to serve everyone, uninsured patients can join Z Dentistry's membership program. It provides competitive discounts to make the dental work patients require more affordable.

“Recently launched, our membership plan is for uninsured patients. It’s a $100 investment for adults, good for 12 months, and 30% off most services. It acts as an assistance program to lower costs on dental procedures patients need to help improve their oral health,” Smith said.

In order to provide the absolute best and latest care, Dr. Z believes it is important to stay on the cutting edge of dental technology and education. The Fellowship of Academy of General Dentistry award will be presented to Dr. Z this year, recognizing his continuing education in dentistry. In the United States and Canada, only approximately 6 percent of general dentists are AGD fellows.

“With completing these credit hours of education, I am always in the know about the latest and greatest techniques and the best practices of dentistry,” Smith said.

He also gives patients personalized product recommendations based on their specific concerns and dental needs, of which, Smith said he does not receive any kickbacks. They are curated based on personal experience, patient feedback, accessibility and research.

“Patients have mentioned in their reviews that we are extremely thorough and that they learn information that they have never learned before going to other dentists. I am big on educating patients. We also pride ourselves on explaining costs to the patients,” Smith said. “We have gotten many compliments on how we are very thorough with coordinating benefits with insurance and giving patients estimates upfront. A lot of doctors' offices don’t do that.”

Dr. Z has extended knowledge in more complex procedures like implant surgery and root canals. He also provides light sedation for high anxiety patients, and cosmetic services like Invisalign. He strives to keep everything in-house so that patients have one dentist for all their needs.
