FRIENDS™ fans will have new ways to celebrate FRIENDSGIVING this year thanks to The FRIENDS™ Experience, including a contest between superfans of the show and retail store holiday deals.

The FRIENDSGIVING Fan Bowl, a competition where teams will compete to prove they are the biggest FRIENDS™ fans, will be recorded at The FRIENDS™ Experience in New York City, giving fans a chance to follow along on social media.

“The competition will include trivia, FRIENDS™ themed games like the moist maker challenge, plus plenty of other surprises,” said Jamaal Orr, vice president of marketing for Superfly X, which created the experience along with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television Group. “Make sure to follow us and tune in on social media @friendstheexperience to catch all the action and connect with the FRIENDS™ community.”

The competition will feature six final contestants split into three teams, but anyone who is a fan of the show can compete at home or choose their favorite team and root for them online. Prizes for the winners will include a FRIENDSGIVING dinner in Monica and Rachel’s apartment, along with a FRIENDS™ prize pack and The Geller Cup, a trophy featured in the popular “The One with the Football” Thanksgiving episode.

Although the competition will take place in New York City, fans in Texas can still visit The FRIENDS™ Experience at The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano through Jan. 17. The interactive experience gives fans the chance to take photos throughout 12 interactive sets from the iconic show, including Central Perk, Joey and Chandler’s apartment, and Monica’s kitchen. Guests also learn about the history of the show and have the chance to see samples of the outfits each character wore along with other memorabilia.

In the spirit of FRIENDSGIVING, fans will have access to a special Black Friday sale Nov. 24-29 through the online shop and in-store at The FRIENDS™ Experience in The Shops at Willow Bend, both of which will offer 15% off purchases more than $100. Fans can purchase a variety of special FRIENDSGIVING items, including The FRIENDS™ Official CookBook, The Turkey Magnet, Pint Glass and the FRIENDS™ Crochet Book & Kit.

The experience will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but open on Black Friday. A full list of hours of operations can be found here. The FRIENDS™ Experience runs through Jan. 17 at the Shops at Willow Bend at 6121 W. Park Blvd., Plano.

Visitors can choose specific timeslots for the experience, which typically lasts between 45 minutes to one hour. There are “Monica Clean” standards and COVID-19 precautions in place as well, including room for social distancing throughout the experience and a mask requirement when pictures are not being taken. Private access tickets are available as well.
