The Texas Department of Transportation plans to make safety improvements to Fitzhugh Road, including signage and delineation along the roadway from Hwy. 290 to the Hays County line. The project went out for contractor bids in August, and construction began Nov. 13. Timeline: August 2017-spring 2018
