The Texas Department of Transportation is working with Travis County on this project to widen FM 1626 from two to four lanes from Brodie Lane to Manchaca Road. A center turn lane will be included throughout the project area. A bridge will be built over Bear Creek, and retaining walls will be added at Rancho Alto Road. TxDOT will upgrade the traffic signals at Brodie and Manchaca. Timeline: the project is in its design phase and will go out for bids in September 2019.
