The major structural work on the MoPac express lane project is on track to wrap up by June. In the coming weeks, construction workers will be finishing paving and installing the walls of the underpasses that connect the express toll lanes to downtown Austin. - Trustees on the Austin ISD board are scheduled to hold a discussion on District of Innovation-related policies at tonight's work session meeting. The board elected to become a DOI in late March.
- Southwest Austin-based Thirsty Planet Brewing Company will celebrate its seventh year in business, the opening of its new 60,000-square-foot South Austin brewery, and the introduction of its newest beer, Buckethead IPA, with an open-to-the-public launch party Tue., March 9, at Black Sheep Lodge, 2108 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, from 7-10 p.m. Thirsty Planet beer and food will be available, and Ride Austin will provide discounted rides home from the event.

Jorge Rousselin, project manager for CodeNEXT, told Community Impact Newspaper last week that a new version of the CodeNEXT maps will be released early this week. Many errors and omissions from the first draft of the maps will be corrected in this updated version. - Studio Barre, a specialized workout class that focuses on building core strength, improving posture and developing long and lean muscles will open in Southwest Austin this summer.
