Median home prices, sales mixed in Southwest Austin in October

Year-over-year median home prices and sales were mixed across the eight Southwest Austin ZIP codes, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

ZIP code 78745 had the most sales in October with 55 homes sold. Three other ZIP codes also sold more homes this October compared to last October, including lone Dripping Springs ZIP code 78620.

There were 30 homes sold in 78749, which was the same amount sold last October.

Median prices in the market were also mixed. Prices in 78735 increased the most year over year by nearly 40%, jumping from $925,000 last October to over $1.2 million this October.

There were 68 homes sold between $300,000 and $499,999. There were also:

• 34 homes sold for $900,000 or more
• 47 homes sold between $700,000 and $899,999
• 66 homes sold between $500,000 and $699,999
• 1 home sold for $200,000 or less

The average number of days home spent on the market were up year over year across all eight ZIP codes. Homes in 78732 spent the longest on the market at 92 days—56 days longer compared to last October.
