Woofie’s was founded in 2004, with franchise locations launching in 2018, according to the release. The business has grown to include 77 locations across the country.
The service offers mobile pet grooming, dog walking, pet sitting and house sitting. Grooming services include a bath, haircut, brushing and de-shedding, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, paw care and sanitary trims and nail care.
Meet the owners
As pet lovers, Cody and Mia Erickson were both attracted to the Woofie’s brand because they wanted to bring professional mobile pet care to the area.
“We know first-hand the love pet owners have for their beloved pets, and their need for reliable, personalized [and] premium care for furry family members," Cody Erickson shared in a news release. “Austin is a special place with a strong sense of community, and we take pride in being part of it, serving our neighbors and going the extra mile in caring for pets and their owners.”
The celebration
Woofie’s of North Austin is commemorating its grand opening at Central Texas SPCA’s 24th annual Barktoberfest on Oct. 17. The festival will take place at Veterans Memorial Park in Cedar Park. Attendees can meet the Ericksons and Scalici, check out the mobile grooming spa, enter the Woofie’s giveaway, receive discounts on services and pick up free treats and swag.
