Homes stayed on the market longer in December in Southwest Austin, Dripping Springs

December data from the Austin Board of Realtors shows the total number of homes sold decreased while the average number of days homes spent on the market in Southwest Austin increased year over year.

The gist

The number of home sales among the eight ZIP codes decreased across half of them.

The median home prices also fluctuated across the market.

However, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased across most ZIP codes. Homes in Dripping Springs, or ZIP code 78620, stayed on the market about 44% longer in 2023 than 2022.
