Three candidates have filed for two at-large positions on the Dripping Springs ISD board of trustees. Dripping Springs ISD also called for the election of a $402.3 million bond package.
Election Day is May 3.
The board election
Incumbents Olivia Barnard and Tricia Quintero are seeking re-election as their terms end this year. Both Barnard and Quintero were elected in May 2022.
The third candidate, Ron Jones, previously served on the DSISD board from 2014-2022 and lost re-election in May 2023.
A fourth candidate, Omid Rezania, initially filed for election but withdrew his application.
Elections for board positions are held each May. Each year, two to three seats come up for re-election as terms are three years in length. The two candidates with the most votes win a seat on the board. Trustees are at-large representatives of the district.
The bond election
The district is also seeking voter approval of a $402.3 million bond package, separated into two separate propositions.

The bond comes as the district faces growth and overcapacity at various schools across the district, as previously reported by Community Impact.
