Travis County added 4,039 new COVID-19 cases the week of Jan. 19-Jan. 25, according to data provided by Austin Public Health.
The seven-day moving average for new hospital admissions Jan. 25 stood at 81.4 individuals, down from 87.8 on Jan. 19. Currently, 577 individuals are hospitalized with COVID-19 across the metropolitan area, according to APH.
Overall, Travis County has reported 65,507 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the onset of the pandemic in March. An estimated 631 individuals have died in the county due to COVID-19, and 59,475 estimated individuals have recovered. There are an estimated 5,401 active cases in Travis County.
