Delta Airlines is expanding its flights out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport with new routes launching to Phoenix and Bozeman, Montana, later this year.
Additionally, the global airline plans to offer new routes from Austin to Asheville, North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Kalispell, Montana; and Kansas City, Missouri, in 2026.
What's happening
Delta Airlines announced it will launch twice-daily nonstop flights to Phoenix from ABIA beginning Nov. 9.
The new route to Bozeman will begin June 13 with Saturday-only flights. Delta will expand the route with daily trips from Austin to Bozeman from Dec. 19 to March 28.
The impact
The new Phoenix route will connect Central Texans to Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, which is known for its championship golf courses, culinary scene, desert hiking and access to Scottsdale and Sedona, according to Delta Airlines information.
The additional Bozeman flights will allow flyers to travel to Montana during peak ski season and visit Yellowstone National Park.

“Austin continues to be an important and growing city for Delta,” said Amy Martin, Delta’s vice president of network planning, in a news release. “By adding service to Phoenix and expanding our Bozeman route into the winter season, we’re giving customers in Austin even more access to top requested destinations while strengthening connections to key business markets across the West.”
Zooming out
Delta has grown the number of flights offered out of Austin each year. The airline is expected to have 63 peak-day departures from ABIA this summer and serve 30 destinations by December, according to a Delta news release.
Delta recently launched its first international flights out of Austin to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas—popular beach destinations in Mexico.
Last fall, the airline opened a permanent base for flight attendants in Austin to strengthen its operations and commitment in Central Texas, according to Delta information.
Did you know
A total of about 21.67 million passengers departed and arrived at ABIA in 2025, marking the year as the third busiest for the airport, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
The airport is currently undergoing a multiyear expansion program designed to upgrade facilities and increase capacity to address the record-breaking passenger traffic. The expansion program includes several projects, such as a new baggage handling system, facilities and passenger gates, various airfield upgrades, and the construction of new taxiways and a second terminal.
