From '80s roller skating to DJ sets at the club, here are 10 events to celebrate the start of 2025. This list is not comprehensive, and event details are subject to change.
Austin’s New Year with Third Eye Blind
Celebrate the new year with live music from '90s rock band Third Eye Blind and a firework display at midnight at Auditorium Shores. The event will also feature other band performances and food and beverage vendors, such as Amy’s Ice Cream and Garbo’s Lobster. The event is free and family-friendly.
Le French Disko by Hotel San José
The French synth-pop disco event will feature Grammy-nominated producer and DJ NEZ. The event, located in the hotel’s Courtyard Lounge, is free and open to the public.
Y2K New Year’s Eve Party by Upstairs at Caroline
This 2000s pop-themed party will feature a live DJ set and a champagne toast at midnight. Guests can also take pictures in a photo booth at the event.
New Year’s Eve with Alvin Crow at Broken Spoke
Join Austin-based musician Alvin Crow at the Broken Spoke dancehall for New Year’s Eve. The dancehall also offers a full kitchen and bar, and will have door prizes for the event.
The Totally Awesome 80’s New Years Eve Bash by Bat City Beats
Travel to the '80s before going back to the future in 2025 with this retro-themed roller skating event. The event will feature live DJ sets with '80s hits, '80s-inspired costume contests, a karaoke room, photo booth and a midnight balloon drop.
