The city of San Marcos and the Texas Department of Transportation, or TxDOT, will begin pavement improvements on Sessom Drive on June 1 to enhance safety and driving conditions between Alamo Street and University Drive, according to a news release.
The overview
Crews will mill and overlay the roadway with high-friction pavement designed to improve skid resistance, especially in wet conditions, reducing the risk of crashes. To minimize disruptions, work will take place at night, the release states.
Temporary lane closures and minor delays may occur, but access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the project.
