Christus Santa Rosa Health System acquired a new high-tech robotic surgical system—Intuitive da Vinci 5—for the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Marcos on June 6.
This is just one of 15 new robotic surgical systems for hospitals across the nonprofit Catholic health system, according to a news release.
The details
The Intuitive da Vinci 5 surgical is equipped with robotic arms that surgeons control and translates their hand movements into smaller, more precise movements using tiny instruments, according to a new release. The system is used for minimally invasive procedures and provides surgeons with a highly magnified view, virtually extending their eyes and hands throughout the surgery.
