Hays CISD launches back-to-school information page for parents

For families in Hays CISD, students will head back to school Aug. 13. Check out important details for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

The big picture

HCISD officials recently published an informational page with important information for parents and students.

In the 2026-27 academic year, school hours will be observed as follows:

• Elementary schools: 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Middle schools: 8:10 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
• High schools: 8:55 a.m.-4:25 p.m.
