On Sept. 10,  Burleson Street in Kyle will close from Miller Street to Center Street and from Center Street to Lockhart Street in the first phase of the project to rebuild and widen sections of the roadway; Center Street will remain open. Burleson Street closures are expected to last about eight weeks, but the whole project will take an estimated 18 months.  The Burleson Street improvements are funded, along with other road and infrastructure projects, by the bond approved by voters in 2013. Already completed projects include work on Marketplace Avenue., Bunton Creek Road and Philomena Drive.
