This fall, Christus Trinity will expand its healthcare services with a new urgent care clinic in San Marcos.
The clinic will be located within the Aquarena Crossing development at the southeast corner of I-35 and Aquarena Springs Drive.
Kathleen Chomel, director of clinical operations for the San Marcos and Wimberley Christus Trinity Clinics, said the expansion is part of Christus' strategic growth plan along the I-35 corridor.
"It was really imperative that Christus keep up with the demand," Chomel said. "A lot of times patients don't have assigned [primary care providers], they don't want an assigned primary care provider so they seek out the urgent care providers or the free-standing [emergency rooms] for their medical care."
