The city of Live Oak celebrated the reopening of Park Drive with a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 13 following road improvements aimed at enhancing safety and accessibility, according to a news release.
The details
The project—which began Nov. 12—included roadway resurfacing and upgrading drainage systems. Upgrades to the road were designed to provide a smoother and safer experience for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, the news release states.
The road improvements cost $794,000 and were funded as part of the city's voter-approved 2022 Street Bond, Economic Development Corporation Manager Donna Lowder said in an email to Community Impact.
