As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion project, TxDOT has planned major closures at the Loop 1604 & I-10 interchange in northwest Bexar County for the weekend of March 21. These closures will allow crews to install the final steel beams as construction of the flyover ramps at the interchange continues.

The details

According to a news release, closures are scheduled from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. March 21-24 and 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 22-23.

March 21, 9 p.m.-5 a.m. closures:

• Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 main lanes
• Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 frontage roads
• Westbound I-10 mainlanes and bypass lane
• Eastbound I-10 left main lane
• Eastbound I-10 frontage road south of the interchange
• Eastbound I-10 cloverleaf ramp

March 22-23, 5 a.m.-9 p.m. closures:

• Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 frontage roads
• Westbound I-10 mainlanes and bypass lane
• Eastbound I-10 left main lane
• Eastbound I-10 frontage road south of the interchange

March 22-23, 9 p.m.-5 a.m. closures:

• Westbound Loop 1604 main lanes
• Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 frontage roads
• Westbound I-10 main lanes and bypass lane
• Eastbound I-10 left main lane
• Eastbound I-10 frontage road south of the interchange
