The specifics
The total cost of the project is around $2.94 million, which is in line with the capital improvement project budget, Public Works Director Randy Luensmann said.
Work includes the reconstruction of East Langley from Pat Booker Road to the intersection of East Langley and National.
The reconstruction of National will be from Pat Booker Road until the road turns into East Langley. Reconstruction will include the National Boulevard "knuckle,” which extends to the residential area on the northern side of the road.
What happens next?
Luensmann explained to City Council that city staff will meet with the contractor to discuss the phases of the projects and the timeline prior to the start of construction.
“We’ll meet with the contractor, see how he wants to phase, and then we will notify the residents as we are going into the different phases,” Luensmann said.
