On Sept. 30, road work began on the westbound lanes of Kitty Hawk Road in Universal City from Universal City Boulevard to the entrance of Walmart.

City staff said the project is expected to take around two weeks to complete, giving a completion date of Oct. 11.

The scope of the project includes sewer replacement in the area and the restoration of the right of way.

During construction, lanes will be closed to reduce traffic to the two eastbound lanes. Traffic control officers will be directing traffic, and the traffic signals at Universal City Boulevard and Walmart will flashing red.


Work will be done Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
