The details
As part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion project, weekly road closures have been scheduled for the construction of about 9.5 miles of I-35 from Loop 410 North to FM 3009 in Bexar and Guadalupe counties, adding elevated lanes, which will connect to Loop 410 North and Loop 1604 West.
The elevated lanes will include one high occupancy vehicle, or HOV, lane and two other lanes in each direction.
The scheduled southbound lane closure from Olympia Parkway to Forum Parkway will be from 9 p.m.-5 a.m., ending the morning of Feb. 17.
According to TxDOT, the closures will be for column cap work, which assists in supporting the elevated lanes.
