In an effort to reconstruct deteriorating roads throughout Cibolo, City Council on March 14 approved the reallocation of American Rescue Plan Act funds for the reconstruction of Tolle Road.

Funds will be used for the reconstruction of the roadway and drainage improvements.

The project is to be funded through general obligation bonds passed in 2016 and 2019 as well as drainage impact fees, wastewater impact fees, water impact fees and transportation impact fees.

These funding sources add up to a balance of about $6.36 million, leaving an additional $1.6 million needed to cover the rest of the project, which would be funded through the reallocated ARPA funds. The total cost of the project is estimated at $7.96 million.

With the funds reallocated, the city will continue work to progress the project with a start date to be determined.
