At the end of February, the beams arrived for the Town Creek Bridge, which is part of the second phase of the Town Creek Drainage Project.

The 550-foot bridge will allow all-weather access to the southern part of Cibolo, which is an area that is usually difficult to traverse during heavy rainfall.

The entire project will provide underground drainage, bike lanes and sidewalks and offer economic development opportunities.

Haeckerville Road is to be reconstructed following the completion of the bridge project.

The Town Creek Drainage-Haeckerville Road Reconstruction is funded through five accounts amounting to nearly $8.5 million, including remaining funds from the 2011 and 2013 general obligation Town Creek Drainage Bonds. Project completion is set for fall.
